Silver Birch Removal with Jay, Libby and Nick at Canwell

Hey and welcome back to our Blog.
Today myself, Libby and Nick dismantled a Silver Birch in Canwell near Sutton Coldfield. It was so windy and we needed to use ropes and lowering tackle. There was a fence below , which we were able to slide the panels out, to avoid any damage. There was also a slabbed area, so we used a roping system to lower the branches avoiding any damage. Libby and Nick did a great job of that as usual. Once the top was out and the laterals were off it was just a case of logging the old girl down. We logged it so far but Libby had the idea of knocking her down in a pole, so I took her thoughts onboard and we pulled the baby over. She went straight down the park !!. We then snedded her out and cut the trunk into manageable lenghts to fit on the truck. We kept the bottom cordwood to make chairs , which when cut we will upload to the site..
Good Job, Well Done Guys and Girls......
